Privacy Policy
Your privacy
matters to us.
Last updated: October 2026
Western (“Western”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. We respect the privacy of everyone who visits it. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website or contact us through it, and how we use and protect that information.
Website visitors
Like most websites, ours receives standard, non-identifying information that web browsers and servers make available, such as browser type, language preference, the referring website, and the date and time of each visit. We use this information to understand how visitors use the website and to keep it working well.
Our web server also receives potentially identifying information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We use this only to operate and secure the website, for example to prevent spam and abuse of the contact form. The contact form’s spam protection stores a one-way, scrambled code rather than your IP address, and clears it within a day.
Information you send us
When you use our contact form, we ask for your name, email address, the topic of your inquiry and your message. Your phone number is optional. We use these details only to respond to your inquiry and to follow up on it.
Your message is sent by email to Western’s team. It is not stored in a database on this website. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your permission.
We may share your inquiry with people working on our behalf, such as a project’s sales or homeowner care team, only so they can respond to you. They may use it only for that purpose.
Aggregated statistics
We may compile statistics about how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed most often. These statistics do not identify individual visitors.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores on your device and that your browser sends back each time you return. This website uses one essential cookie on the contact page. It confirms that a form submission really came from our website, which protects you and us from spam. It does not track you across other websites and is deleted when you close your browser.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies. If you do, the contact form may not work, but you can always reach us by email or phone.
If we add website analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy before doing so.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other websites, including individual project websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information you send us against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We keep it only as long as we need it to respond to your inquiry, meet our legal obligations or resolve any dispute.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable Canadian privacy law.
Business transfers
If Western, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Western goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, visitor information would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party. Any acquirer may continue to use your personal information only as set out in this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We encourage you to check this page regularly.
